140 Ugandan police officers join AMISOM forces in Somalia (Video)

The Ugandan police officers, who have just completed a one week induction course for newly deployed officers, will reinforce the peacekeeping force comprised mostly of soldiers from different African countries.
140 members of a contingent of the Ugandan police under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) have been called upon to remain vigilant and observe a high level of discipline.

The Ugandan police officers, who have just completed a one week induction course for newly deployed officers, will reinforce the peacekeeping force comprised mostly of soldiers from different African countries including Uganda, Burundi and Sierra Leone.

Lydia Wanyoto Mutende, the Deputy Special Representative of the Chairperson of African Union Commission for Somalia, challenged the officers to be sensitive of the new environment in which they are operating and live up to the expectations of the mission.
