Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr Tedros Adhanom conferred with  the President of Somalia’s Puntland State, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas, at his offices today (February 16, 2015).

The discussion of the two sides focused on Somalia’s upcoming election 2016 modalities, efforts of regional peace and stability and the prospects of working together on tackling illegal migration in the region.

Dr. Tedros noted that Ethiopia remains committed to support efforts of bringing peace, stability and prosperity to Somalia.

H. E Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas in his part praised Ethiopia for its role evident at working towards a peaceful and stable Somalia.
