COMMUNIQUE OF THE 55THEXTRA-ORDINARY SESSION OF THE IGAD COUNCIL OF MINISTERS ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA, JANUARY 30 – 31, 2016 The IGAD Council of Ministers held its 55th Extra-Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa on 30-31 January 2016 under the Chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Chairperson of the IGAD Council. The session was attended by H.E. Amb. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti; H.E Amb. Amina Mohamed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. Abdusalam Omer Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia; H.E. Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan; H.E. Dr. Barnaba Benjamin Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Sudan; H.E Amb. James Mugume Permanent Secretary, Ministry Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda; Amb. Francisco Caetano Jose Madeira Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for Somalia, and H.E. Eng. Mahboub Maalim, IGAD Executive Secretary.
